Who we are
USI Atelier is a Ghanaian ready-to-wear fashion label. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean USI Atelier, which is responsible for the personal information described here.
To be confirmedOur registered business name and address, and our registration with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana, will be published here.
Information we collect
You can browse and shop without creating an account. We collect only what we need to take and deliver your order:
- Order details you give us at checkout: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
- What you order: the pieces, sizes, sleeve types and quantities, the prices and total, and your order number and status.
- Payment records from Paystack: the payment reference, status, amount, currency and payment method type (for example, card or mobile money). We never receive or store your full card number, card security code or mobile money PIN.
- My Orders: the email address you enter to view your orders, and a record of the secure link and session we create for you.
- Messages you send us, for example on WhatsApp.
- Technical information, such as IP addresses and request records, that our servers and service providers process to run the website and keep it secure.
How we use your information
- To process your order and payment, and to prepare and deliver your order.
- To send you order updates by email and SMS, for example when your payment is received, and when your order is being prepared, is ready and has been delivered.
- To contact you about a problem with your order, such as an item becoming unavailable after you have paid.
- To let you view your orders through My Orders.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To protect our customers and website against fraud and misuse, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We don’t use your information to send marketing messages, and we don’t sell your personal information.
Payments with Paystack
Payments are processed by Paystack. When you pay, you are taken to Paystack’s secure checkout, and you enter your card or mobile money details there, not on our website. We share your email address, the amount due and your order reference with Paystack so it can process the payment.
Paystack handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We confirm each payment directly with Paystack before treating your order as paid.
Service providers we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our shop, and only what each needs:
- Paystack, to process payments.
- mNotify, to send order updates by SMS. It receives your phone number and the message.
- Our email service provider, to send order updates and My Orders links. It receives your email address and the message.
- Our website hosting and database providers, which store and process the information described in this policy on our behalf.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us there. Your messages are also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
Our product images are hosted by Cloudinary, which doesn’t receive your personal information. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
To be confirmedThe names of our email, hosting and database providers, and the countries where your information is stored and processed, will be published here.
How long we keep your information
We keep order and payment records for as long as we need them to fulfil your order, answer questions about it and meet our legal and accounting obligations. A My Orders link expires 15 minutes after it is sent and can be used only once.
To be confirmedHow long we keep order, payment and contact records, and when they are deleted, will be published here.
How we protect your information
Our website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Your payment details are entered on Paystack’s checkout, not on our website. Only authorised USI Atelier staff can access order information, through a password-protected administration area. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can see it.
Your rights and requests
Under applicable law, including Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may object to how we use it.
